"The Mystery"

Its time to try something new: Haiku. Hey, that rhymes! I'm a little poet now. I've never done this before. How fun.

Darkness pours forth voice
into the knowing silence...
The divine depth speaks.

Basically, haiku has a total of 17 syllables. Five in the first and last lines, and seven in the middle. The basic idea as (I understand it) is to bring a tension in the first two lines, and then resolve it in the last.

This poem is sticking with me a bit. Poetry itself seems to have a magical quality. You pour your own voice into
into this structure and you end up expressing something that you could not have otherwise expressed...something that you maybe even didn't know on a conscious level.

This whole poetry thing is new to me. But I think that part of the fun for me not having a clue as to what I'm doing. I have to make it up as I go along. Come to think of it, I think that makes it a metaphor for my life. :)
